The Executive Council provides active leadership for Imperial College Alumni of Nigeria, overseeing programs, events, communication, administration, and member engagement.
The Role of the Executive Council
The Executive Council is responsible for the day to day leadership and operational direction of the association. It turns vision into action through programs, member engagement, communication, partnerships, and event delivery.
While the Board of Trustees helps safeguard long term continuity and oversight, the Executive Council provides practical leadership in service of the community.
The officers below bring experience from engineering, technology, finance, risk, communications, and business leadership to the association.

Destiny Amana
Mr. Destiny Amana studied Materials Science and Engineering and graduated in 1994. He then went on to complete a Masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Bath.
He returned to Nigeria in 2004 to start his own web design firm and has since built a strong career in technology, internet governance, and digital enterprise.
He is the current President of the Nigeria Internet Group, a Director in NiRA, the Nigeria Internet Registration Association, and a Director in Amana Consortium. He is also the MD and CEO of Icecool Contracts Limited, an indigenous ICT firm based in Lagos.

Oby Ugboma
Oby Ugboma FCIB, FRM serves as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at MTN Nigeria, a role she has held since November 2022.
She has extensive experience in risk management and has held major positions including Group Chief Risk Officer at FSDH Group and Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer at Chapel Hill Denham.
Her previous experience also includes leadership roles at JP Morgan, where she headed EMEA Risk Management. She is an Exco Member and Investments Lead at RisingTideAfrica, a Judge at the Nigerian Risk Summit and Awards, and has served as a Board Director at NASD OTC Securities Exchange and Chapel Hill Denham Securities Ltd.
She is also actively involved in supporting the advancement of professional African women through the African Women on Board initiative. Her academic qualifications include a BSc Honours in Financial Services, a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, and certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Paul Ekpenyon Duke serves as Treasurer of the Executive Council of Imperial College Alumni of Nigeria.

Abimbola Meshinoye
Abimbola Meshinoye, often referred to as Abim, is a seasoned Nigerian marketing and communications professional.
She currently serves in a leadership role at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd and brings over 10 years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, and corporate communications within the Nigerian financial services sector.
Her professional background and communications expertise support the association’s visibility, engagement, and public profile.
